Dr. Amal Al Fahdi is a highly accomplished and qualified consultant psychiatrist specializing in psycho-oncology. She is currently the Director of Holistic Care and Head of the Psychosocial Department at the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center (SQCCCRC) in Muscat, Oman. She is also a SQCCCRC Executive Committee member and the Omani National Psychiatric Forensic Assessment Committee (MOH) Deputy Chairperson.
Dr. Amal has a strong track record of academic achievement and professional development. She has completed a fellowship in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and has received training in MSK Tobacco Treatment Specialist and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also a member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and the International Psycho-oncology Society (IPOS).

Dr. Amal is actively researching anxiety and depression in Omani women with cancer. She has several ongoing research projects.
